Fine Motor Spiders

Supplies:

  • A toilet paper tube. (One tube makes 5 spiders)
  • Black marker
  • Hole Punch
  • Pipecleaners (2 per spider)
  • Googly Eyes
  • Optional string or yarn to hang

Directions:

  1. Start by letting your little one color your toilet paper tube. You might need to assist by holding it for them. Then cut into equal strips.
  2. Pinch in half and punch out 4 holes. Then reshape into circles. Cut your pipe cleaners in half and hand over to your little one.
  3. Set up on spider as an example so your child knows what you they are attempting to do. Have them put all 4 legs through both sides.
  4. Depending on your little one's age you might have to help with the second hole, but let them try to figure it out.
  5. Bend the legs to shape however you like and glue on the googly eyes.
  6. Let them dry and your done! You can add string if you want to hang them or simply add them around the house.
