Home-Based Parenting Programs

Children First, Oklahoma’s Nurse-Family Partnership

Voluntary family support program that offers home visitation services to mothers expecting their first child. A public health nurse works with mother to increase her chances of delivering a healthy baby, as well as work on child safety and development.

Enrollment Criteria: The new mother must be less than 29 weeks pregnant, be expecting her first child and meet the same income eligibility criteria as WIC and/or Medicaid.

SafeCare at Family & Children's Services

A free parenting program delivered in your home to help reduce stress by providing support, education and resources. Education focuses on parent-child interaction, managing child behavior, health, safety and healthy relationships.

SoonerStart Early Intervention

Services include evaluation services, case management, family training, counseling, and home visits, certain health services, nursing; nutrition services, occupational, physical, and speech- language therapy, and special instruction. Can be provided in home or at daycare.
